The progesterone spot test is used to assess progesterone levels for both menstruating, perimenopausal, and menopausal females. It is critical that progesterone levels are assessed during bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to prevent progesterone resistance or continued low levels of this essential hormone. Bioidentical progesterone must be stopped 24 hours prior to this one-time saliva collection. It is recommended that females do not eat or drink within 60 minutes prior to collection and rinse their mouth thoroughly with water 5 minutes before collection. Only the morning vial needs to be filled with saliva (all other vials may be discarded).

This is an at-home kit with instructions. Results typically received within 14-21 days. NOTE for menstruating females: This test should be collected between days 19-21 of menstrual cycle.
