Alexa holds extensive experience in the field of clinical nutrition and functional medicine. Alexa graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. As an undergraduate student, Alexa was a Bronze Tablet Honoree, receiving the highest award granted to undergraduate students for ranking in the top 3% of her graduating class. Alexa is board certified as a clinical nutritionist by the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board and is licensed as a dietitian nutritionist. Her specialties include functional blood chemistry, functional endocrinology, thyroid dysfunction, functional brain chemistry, weight loss, nutrigenomics, and nutritional management of chronic conditions.
Alexa has a deep passion for using natural methods to restore the body’s innate healing ability. Having overcome chronic autoimmunity, she strives to educate her patients on the importance of nutritional therapy and how it relates to overall well-being. Alexa enjoys educating her patients on how to properly nourish the body through correct dietary and lifestyle choices.
